Positively Parish News – Week of October 18, 2013

It has been brought to my attention that there is a third “new” business in Parish.

On August 22, my husband’s sole proprietorship was incorporated as Mullen Scientific Software Inc by the State of New York.

MSS Inc is now client oriented, offering consulting in  online searches and information, scientific and engineering projects and problems, and computerized home security systems.

Hourly rates are available and an initial consultation by telephone or in person is free.

Pat Mullen can be reached at (315) 625-4660.  Kudos and well wishes for the new businesses in Parish.

Shawn and Erin Dupree are hosting a foreign exchange student from Japan.

His name is Monsto.

He is enjoying his American family and being a big brother to Jan Morse’s grandchildren: Vehjric, 13, Vanessa, 9, Zoryana, 3 and Ada, 2.

They all have welcomed Monsto into the family.

The Parish Community Preschool will host its sixth annual spaghetti dinner on October 25.

Time is 4-8 p.m. at the Parish Fire Station.

There will be the dinner, a bake sale for desserts and a silent raffle.

The prices are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $3 for kids 12 and under, and children 3 and under eat free.

Carryout is also available.

The Parish Dining and Activity Center will host its annual candlelight dinner on October 29 at the Parish Fire Station, 16 Union St., beginning with a social hour at 4 p.m. and a chicken cordon bleu dinner served at 5 p.m.

The theme will be “Halloween” so please come dressed up in a costume if you would like.

The entertainment this year will be the Lisa Lee Duo with great music, dancing and fun with costumes and door prizes too!

All of this for $5.

Call Mary Lou at 625-4617 to make your reservation.
