PowerPoint Professionals at Granby

The students in Candy McCann's first grade class at Granby Elementary School are in the digital age and created interactive presentations to prove it. The students finished their end-of-year projects but instead of turning in a paper report each student created a PowerPoint presentation of their research. Tied with the new Common Core State Standards that focuses on reading more non-fiction text, the students researched an animal of their choice and created interactive presentations where they described their animal and its habitat, diet, special features and life cycle. Pictured is Paityn Cali presenting her peacock presentation to her class on her classroom’s interactive whiteboard.
