Pre-hire partnerships land BOCES grads in the driver’s seat

A unique opportunity landed two Oswego County BOCES commercial driving graduates in the hot seat – the driver’s seat of two of the nation’s largest trucking carriers.

Barry Victory and Dan Brown benefited from pre-hire opportunities that are offered in conjunction with a driving program at OCB.

The Adult Education Department at OCB works with regional, nationwide and global trucking companies to offer students enrolled in a CDL-A program a chance to secure a position in the commercial trucking industry upon successful completion of the program.

Victory was student in the CDL-A and Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Operations program at OCB while Brown was a student in the CDL-A Tractor Trailer program.

The next session of commercial driving training programs will begin in early July at OCB.
