Kamal Gautam, MD, has joined Oswego Health’s Primecare Medical Practice in Central Square.
Dr. Gautam recently completed his residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn.
He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBBS) from Tribhuvan University, located in Kathmandu, Nepal.
After earning his MBBS, he worked as a medical officer delivering patient care at hospitals in Nepal.
Dr. Gautam, who grew up in the small country of Bhutan, located between China and India, migrated to the United States and settled with his family in the Syracuse area.
He said he was looking forward to caring for patients age 18 and older at Primecare Medical Practice.
Dr. Gautam said he chose to become an internist, as he enjoys caring for a variety of patient conditions.
The Primecare practice is located in the lower level of the Central Square Medical Center, 3045 East Ave., (County Route 49) in the village of Central Square.
