OSWEGO – The Oswego County Probation Department is experiencing delays in service to customers as a result of a power outage that occurred at the Oswego County Public Safety Center Sept. 5.
The Public Safety Center experienced an unusual power failure which caused the computer servers to go off-line, and the Probation Department has been unable to access information and data critical to day-to-day operations.
“The County is working diligently to restore the servers and we anticipate a resolution over the next few days,” said Probation Director Deborah Meyer. “The power was restored but unfortunately the loss resulted in delays in service to the public and our clients. As a result, local courts may also be experiencing delays in receiving court-ordered investigations, which may impact sentencing and necessitate adjournments.”
Clients are asked to contact their probation officer with any questions or concerns.
Members of the public, court officials and other agencies who need assistance may contact the Probation Department at 315-349-3477 and ask to speak with a supervisor.
