OSWEGO – With support from the Beacon Hotel, Parents of Special Children, will host it fifth annual AIM High with PSC on October 19 from 6 – 8:30 p.m.
The evening will be fun-filled and packed with information for planning a more secure future for your loved one with a disability.
The event will start off with Brea Goss, Health & Wellness Director at the Fulton Family YMCA, who will be sharing her heartwarming story of her long journey and commitment to get healthy.
She will provide insight on how we can make daily changes and still enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle.
The evening will continue with lawyers from The Cuddy Law Firm, which was founded in 2001 to assist the parents/guardians of children with special needs in obtaining the services they deserve.
Ken Bush, Esq., will present on special needs planning and guardianship, with Nina Aasen, Esq., following with a discussion on educational issues.
Nina provides assistance with all aspects of ensuring children with special needs the free appropriate public education to which they are entitled, including obtaining independent educational evaluations, litigating due process hearings and attending CSE meetings and will share her insight on each aspect.
Participants will most definitely walk away with a great deal of knowledge and inspiration and how to better plan for their individual’s future.
The public is welcome to this free event at the Beacon Hotel, 75 W. Bridge St.
