Jonmarie Fravor, a Career and Technical Education student enrolled in the Public Safety and Justice Program at Oswego County BOCES, has been invited to attend the 2013 Global Young Leaders Conference in her choice of China, Europe or the United States of America.
Fravor was selected for the program in honor of her scholastic merit and demonstrated leadership ability and will join top, high-achieving high school students from more than 100 countries for the summer conference. Her hope is to attend the European conference where she will explore the culture of Vienna, Austria; Prague, Czech Republic; and Berlin, Germany.
Fravor and her fellow global scholars will meet leaders who are actively involved in the decision-making process in both the government and private sector and will be immersed in a challenging curriculum where they will explore the diplomatic, social, and economic lessons of the past and collectively deliberate the policies of today and how they will impact the future.
Fravor is a second-year Public Safety and Justice student at Oswego County BOCES and a senior in the Pulaski Academy and Central School District. She is also an alumnus of the 2012 National Youth Leadership Forum on National Security that took place in October of 2012 in Washington, DC.
Following graduation her plans include pursuing a career in aeronautical engineering.
