Pulaski Earth Day Cleanup looking for volunteers

The Pulaski High School student government is organizing a Pulaski Academy and Central Schools Earth Day Cleanup on April 26 beginning at 10 a.m. at South Park in the village.

Interested volunteers should assemble in the park, at the corner of Jefferson and Lake streets in Pulaski, to receive instructions and assignment areas for the cleanup.

Tools and supplies to assist in the cleanup will be provided. The cleanup will be held rain or shine and volunteers should dress for the weather.

The general timeline is approximately a two hour cleanup with lunch following at noon in the park, provided by the PACS faculty. Entertainment including live music and guest speakers will take place at that time.

T-shirts will be available for sale for $7.

Some areas that organizers hope to address include the Haldane Center, the Firemen’s Field and areas around the two bridges in the village.

Those areas could change or expand depending on the number of individuals who volunteer.
