Pulaski Students Perform At Roberts Wesleyan Honors Choir Festival


Six students from Pulaski High School were selected to participate in the Second Annual Honors Choir Festival at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester this past weekend.

The students included: Jared Dana, Casey Harkelroad, Sarah McCray, Audrey Monson, Tessa Powlin and Brittany VanDuzer.

The choir performed under the direction of David Chin, who also serves as the director of Choral Activities at Roberts Wesleyan College and has directed premiere performances around the world.

They sang six songs including: “Great and Glorious,” “Ave verum corpus,” “Lamentation of Jeremiah,” “God so loved the world,” “Day By Day,” and “Ride on, King Jesus.”

The choir was made up of select musicians from across New York State who were nominated by their chorus teachers and qualified for the festival through local New York State School Music Association’s solo festivals.

The festival provided students in grades 9-12, a rich musical experience in a college setting, under the direction of an outstanding conductor and director.
