Pulaski Varsity Girls’ Volleyball Team Recognized For Outstanding Season

The girls’ varsity volleyball team held an awards ceremony where individual and team awards were presented. The team was named Patriot National League Champions and was also designated by NYSPHAA as a scholar athlete team.

Members of the Pulaski Varsity Girls’ Volleyball team held an awards ceremony at the school to honor and recognized the team and individuals for their outstanding accomplishments during the season.

The team was named Patriot National League Champions for the fourth consecutive year and head coach Melisa Jennings was named Coach of the Year by the league for the third year in a row.

Megan Jennings, Darby Leaf, Ashley Monroe, Samantha Briant and Aleah LaFlamme, also known as “The Fab Five” each received recognition for their outstanding contributions to the team.

Megan Jennings was named Player of the Year by the Patriot National League and All CNY Team for Section III Class A-D, an outstanding achievement and according to Coach Jennings, the first time a player from Pulaski has achieved this distinction. She was also named to the Class C All Star Team, and First Team All League in the Patriot National League.

Ashley Monroe was also named to the Class C All Star Team. Megan Jennings, Aleah LaFlamme, Samantha Briant, Ashley Monroe and Darby Leaf were named First Team All League and Payton Manwaring and Mikayla Petrie were named to the Second Team in the league.

The team was also named a scholar athlete team by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association for its outstanding academic achievements.

The team made it to the final four of the Section III playoffs before being eliminated in the competition.

The team finished the season with an 18-3 overall record.
