Q as in Quilt

OSWEGO, NY – Members of the planning committee for the eighth annual Diane Falise Memorial Scrabble Fest display a beautiful hand made quilt that will be available as part of the drawing prizes to be held during the event.

Taking place September 19 at the Oswego Elks Lodge, Scrabble Fest, serves as a fundraiser for Literacy Volunteers.

Other prizes include a set of four Park Hopper Passes good for three days at all Disney theme parks in Orlando, Florida.

The event will also feature a silent auction, a drawing for a board of lottery tickets, and a 50 / 50 drawing.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with games beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Entry fee is $100 per team and includes light refreshments.

Community members looking to join the fun but not compete are welcome.

The cost for spectators is $15 and includes light refreshments.

All proceeds will support LVOC’s efforts to increase literacy in Oswego County through services that help adults gain reading, writing and other life skills.
