Racing Excitement Set To Return To Fulton Speedway This Saturday

FULTON, NY – After a great night of racing last Saturday night, the racers, fans and staff of the Fulton Speedway are set to do it all over again this Saturday.

Omni Services and Oswego County will present a night of fast, family, affordable fun on the “Highbanks.”

On the race card will be the Tracey Road Equipment Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, NAPA Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman, Hilton’s Automotive Four-Cylinders plus the Midstate Vintage Stock Car Club.

Last Saturday night was a rarity that you don’t see very often in racing. One driver winning in both the Modifieds and Sprint Cars.

That’s exactly what Larry Wight pulled off, winning the Patriot Sprint Tour A-Main and the Tracey Road Equipment Modified 35-lap feature.

Wight, the defending Modified Track Champion will try to keep the momentum going this week and it won’t be an easy task with the stout field of Big Block Modifieds that sign in the pits weekly.

Billy Decker 260. Danny Johnson 252. Larry Wight 241. Jimmy Phelps 232. Pat Ward 216.

Racing veteran Mike Button won a hard fought 25-Lap SUNY Canton Sportsman feature over a strong 26-car starting field.

Tony Finch II 252. Billy Clark Jr. 234. Mike Button 224. Jordan Bennett 204. Brandon Ford 204.

NAPA Late Model rookies Chris Fleming, Kevan Cook and Jason Occhino continue to impress as they occupied three of the top five finishing spots in last week’s 25-lap feature.

When the checkers waved it was Late Model veteran Sean Beardsley in victory lane.

Alan Fink 262. Chris Fleming 240. AJ Kingsley 238. Kevan Cook 236. Jason Occhino 230.

After coming so close to victory in the past Mike Stanton Jr. was able to put it all together, leading all 15 laps of the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman last Saturday.

With the Hilton’s Automotive Four-Cylinders back in action this week after June 6 off, here are the top five point standings.

Tim Dunn 222. Skip DeGroff 222. Justin Buske 174. Colby Herzog 170. Kyle Young 160.
