OSWEGO, NY – The second annual Racing for Ronald McDonald House Walk was held at Oswego Speedway on June 8 and once again saw a healthy group of supporters attend to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY.
Racing for Ronald McDonald House efforts have raised a total of $2,605 toward the RMHC of CNY charities since the walk on June 8.
Since opening its door in 1982, more than 17,000 families have found comfort and hope at the Ronald McDonald House in Syracuse, and this year’s efforts by all involved with the Racing for Ronald McDonald House walk have greatly helped to provide further assistance and comfort to families associated with the House.
The committee from the Racing for Ronald McDonald House Walk would like to thank the following sponsors, whose help made the walk possible: C’s Farm Market & Beverage Center, Burke’s Home Centers, Coca-Cola, Eagle Beverage, Gioia Signs, Hill & Markes, Inkspot, ISMA, JB Sign Co., KDP Townhouses, Oswego Speedway, McDonald’s, Mitchell’s Speedway Press, Slice-N-Go-Deli, Staples, and Top Stitch.
The inaugural ISMA vs. Oswego Speedway Charity Kick-Ball match also took place on June 8 with proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY. Supermodified racers Dave Danzer, Dave Cliff, Ed Witkum Jr., Dave Duggan, Dan Connors Jr., Mike Lichty and more all took part in the game that saw Oswego Speedway narrowly edge ISMA 11-10 in seven innings.
