This year’s Oswego County Historical Society Victorian Picnic will take place Sunday, June 12, on the lawn at the Richardson-Bates House Museum, at 135 E. Third St., in Oswego from 1 to 4 p.m. The main part of the event will be a lunch basket auction, run by professional auctioneer Ted Sivers. The auction will start at 2 p.m. Other activities at the event will include lawn games, free museum tours, horse-drawn wagon rides, ice cream sundaes, old book sales, and a door prize. Also included will be an opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket to try and win a beautiful Waterford Crystal Turnover Bowl, which is shown on a table in the museum. Those discussing the event and crystal piece raffle, from left, are Historical Society Board members Bernie Henderson and Lyn Patterson, who is the picnic chairperson, along with AmeriCorps volunteer Kristian Woolley. For more information about the event or museum tours contact Patterson at 343-2343 or the museum at 343-1342.
