FULTON, NY – Ralph J. Plata, 89, of Fulton, died Friday June 27, 2014, at Michaud Residential Health Services, Fulton.
Mr. Plata was born in Oswego, NY, to the late Joseph and Mary (Kruppa) Plata.
He retired from Sealright Co., Fulton, after several years working as a machine operator.
He was a past communicant of Holy Family Church, Fulton.
Mr. Plata was a past member of the Fulton Polish Home.
He was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte Plata, in 2009.
Mr. Plata is survived by his children: Thomas Plata of North Carolina and Tamara (Tony) Santiago of California; brother: Frank Plata of Oswego; and sister, Azelyn Alfiere of Syracuse, NY; two grandchildren: Nicole Plata and Christian Plata both of Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held noon Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Robert Stephenson officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
Calling hours will be conducted 11 a.m. noon Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton.
