FULTON, NY – The United Way of Greater Oswego County invites you to join them in making Oswego County a healthier community by promoting wellness.
On Feb. 5, the United Way, in partnership with the Fulton and Oswego YMCAs and Stability Fitness in Oswego, is offering community members the opportunity to be part of the 60 Minute Challenge.
A fun, indoor event, the United Way’s 60 Minute Challenge will have participants spending 30 minutes on a treadmill (walking, jogging, or running) and 30 minutes on a stationary bike.
Whether you’ve just started exercising or if you’re a dedicated fitness lover who has been at it for years, this non-competitive event is a great way to challenge yourself and your fitness level.
“Our goal with the 60 Minute Challenge is to promote wellness in our community,” said Resource Development Director with the United Way of Greater Oswego County, Lois Luber. “We are looking forward to a strong turnout at all three locations and we invite companies and organizations to join community members by entering a team to represent them.”
Those interested in participating in the challenge may do so by registering at the location of their choice: the Fulton YMCA, Route 3 in Fulton, the Oswego YMCA, West First Street in Oswego, and Stability Fitness, East Second Street in Oswego.
Start times are between 8 and 10 a.m.
Registration fee is only $25 per person.
Those registering before Jan. 27 will receive a complimentary long-sleeved T-shirt.
