OSWEGO – Last month, the US Naval Sea Cadets (USNSCC) Truxtun DDG-103 Division underwent its annual regional inspection.

The Regional Director for Central and Western New York, Lt. Commander Steve Adams came to the Oswego Division and completed the annual inspection of the unit.

Each cadet is inspected from head to toe to ensure proper wearing of uniforms, name tags, patches insignias and to make sure they were following the USNSCC protocols.

The program’s administration team also under goes a thorough inspection of records and inspection themselves to make sure everything on their level is being managed and properly run following the USNSCC administration regulations.

During the inspection, in front of family and invited guest, the Truxtun unit performed a dedication and explanation of a POW table with each branch of the military represented.

A bugler and a bagpipe player were present for the ceremony.

Following the presentation many cadets received awards and promotions at the event.

The Truxtun division is always accepting new recruits to join the unit.
