Resident Linda Taber recently helped supply the elementary school with an assortment of sports jerseys, ranging from professional sports teams to local colleges.

Taber volunteers at PEACE Inc., a non-profit community-based organization stationed in Syracuse with the mission of helping people in the community realize their potential for becoming self-sufficient.

With the help of the organization, Taber was able to present hundreds of jerseys to students throughout the elementary school.

Taber’s sister, Donna Jones, who works as a cashier in Sandy Creek High School’s cafeteria, said her sister simply enjoys giving back to the Sandy Creek community.

“She’s always trying to give back to the community,” said Jones. “She’s done several things like this, including baking cookies for the students.”
