PHOENIX, NY – Richard Murray Den Bleyker of Phoenix, NY, died on Friday April 26, 2019, at St Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, NY.
He was born August 30, 1951, in Syracuse.
He was predeceased by parents Richard and Skeets (Murray) Den Bleyker.
Dick devoted his life to family and friends and was greatly respected by all who knew him.
He was a retired Oswego County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant, serving for 10 years, also retired from Entergy.
He was a Master Mason of Callimachus Masonic Lodge 369 and Shriner member of Media Lodge.
Dick is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sally (Haney) Den Bleyker; and daughter, Amy (Jason) Godkin; grandchildren, Alivia Lamphere, Kaylen Lamphere and Owen Godkin of Phoenix; sisters Patricia Henjes, Cynthia (Richard) Burton of Phoenix, and Susan Caltabiano of Chicago Ill.; a brother, Daniel (Catherine) of Thornton, Colo.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Monday April 29 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Pennellville Methodist Church 389 County Route 54, Pennellville, NY.
A funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the same church.
Burial at Phoenix Rural Cemetery will follow the service.
