Richland Man Charged With Rape

OSWEGO, NY – A Richland man is behind bars, charged with rape, according to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday (Aug. 10), at 2:31 p.m., Joseph M. Trumble, 37, of 63 Jerry Look Road, Richland, was arrested on two counts of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, a Class A Felony; one count of first-degree Course of Sexual Conduct with a Child, a Class B Felony; and one count of first-degree Rape, a Class B Felony.

The charges stem from the investigation into an incidents that occurred in the town of Sandy Creek.

The suspect allegedly engaged in acts of sexual intercourse with the victim who was less than 13 years of age between the summer of 2008 and May of 2011.

Trumble was remanded to Oswego County Jail on no bail.

He is scheduled to appear in Town of Orwell Court on Aug. 12.
