FULTON, NY – The greater Fulton community is invited to gather for the annual Music Sunday worship, June 21 at 11 a.m. at First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St.
The members of The Roamin’ Catholic Choir, directed by Dolores Walrath, will join the Chancel Choir members of First United, directed by Gina Mazzoli, to perform four anthems including a closing blessing entitled “Old Irish Blessing.”
Mazzoli will sing A. H. Malotte’s “The Lord’s Prayer” as the Offertory.
Also to be included in the service is a presentation on Father’s Day, and the dedication of a music stand in loving memory of Burton Phillips.
Phillips served as choir director of the former First Presbyterian Church and more recently First United Church for about 30 years.
His memorial service was held at First United Church in 2014.
Flower on the altar will be placed in his memory.
First United Church is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA and the Presbyterian Church (USA).
The congregation is active in the greater Fulton community through the Greater Fulton Area Council of Christian Churches and many other avenues of sharing.
The First United facility offers hearing assistance, and it is fully accessible to those who are physically handicapped.
