Robert E. Woods Jr., 60


OSWEGO, NY – Robert E. Woods Jr., 60, a resident of Oswego passed away on Monday February 27, 2012, at his home.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of Mary (Rossiter) Woods of Oswego and the late Robert E. Woods Sr.

He attended local schools and was a graduate of Oswego Catholic High School.

He was employed with the Rizzo Construction, Pritchard Construction and Eagle Beverage in Oswego and DSC Logistics in Huntersville N.C.

Robert was an avid sportsfan who enjoyed the Yankees and the Giants.

He also loved to fish and golf and enjoyed the company of family and friends.

Surviving besides his mother, are two sons, Brandon (Ashley) Woods and Ben Woods both of Morresville NC; a grandson, Brody Robert Woods; three sisters, Nancy Caveny of Baldwinsville, Sandra Rose of Tuscon Ariz. and Mary Carol Magistro of Oswego; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial mass will be held on Thrusday at 11 a.m. from St.Paul’s Church.

There are calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St.Paul’s Church or a charity of choice.

Arrangements are in care of the Dowdle Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Woods, Nancy, Sandy and Mary… I am so sorry for your loss. I’ve been in contact with Bobby and we were going to get together this summer in Oswego.
    He left many friends behind and we all have LOTS of stories that will bring smiles to everyone.
    He was a great friend.
