Robert H. Phelps, 80, of Fulton died Saturday at St. JosephÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Hospital Dialysis Center after a long illness.
Mr. Phelps was born in Fulton and has remained a life resident. He was a United States Veteran having served in the Air force as a pilot during the Korean War from 1950 to 1955. He retired as an Electric Engineer after 30+ years with General Electric, Syracuse. He was also a member of the ElkÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Club and an avid hunter. Mr. Phelps loved to fly airplanes, bowl, and golf.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years Marjorie Phelps of Fulton, his 3 children: Brad (Karen) Phelps of Webster, NY, Brian (Catherine) Phelps of Fulton, and Gail (Ric) Wagner of VA, his sister Barbara Ingersoll of FL, and 2 grandchildren: Elliot and Addison. Funeral Services and Burial will be private.
