Robert John Bogert, 76, of Bluffton, S.C. died on Saturday, September 18, 2010. He was a former resident of this city.
Mr. Bogert was born in Clifton. He was a circulation department supervisor for the Star-Ledger before retiring. Also, he and his family were the recipients of the Family of the Year award for both the local Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and South Carolina. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Bluffton, and a fourth degree Knight of Columbus as well. And, he was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Bogert is survived by his wife, the former Natalie Martin; his son, John, of Oswego, N.Y.; his daughters, Christina Bogert-DePonte of Cranford, Beth Ann Bogert of Emmaus, Pa., and Pamela Bogert of Naugatuck, Conn.; his brother, William, of Oshkosh, Wis.; his sister, Jane, of California; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frances and Catherine.
