Roberts Wesleyan Tops Laker Tennis Squad

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women’s tennis team dropped a decision to tough opponent, as it lost, 9-0, to Roberts Wesleyan on Wednesday.

Both of the Lakers’ first and third doubles teams were able to snag two games against the Redhawks, but Roberts Wesleyan led, 3-0, heading into singles play.

Haley Miller (So., Springwater, N.Y.) played the longest match of the day, with rallies in the match lasting upward of 10 shots on many occasions. Miller ultimately fell 6-2, 6-2 at the fifth flight.
Fellow sophomore Hannah Rawlings (Ithaca, N.Y.) also took two games in each set at sixth singles, but the Redhawks swept singles for a 9-0 victory.

The Lakers hit the road to take on Oneonta at 3 p.m. on Friday for their first of two away matches this weekend.
