Ronald J. Finke, 66, formerly of Clay, passed away Sunday surrounded by his family at his daughter’s home in Oswego.
Born in Madison, IN he had lived in Central New York since 1970. Ron had graduated Magna Cum Laude from Purdue University and M.I.T. Ron was employed at a Senior Systems Engineer at Sensis Corp. in E. Syracuse. He had also worked as Lockheed Martin and General Electric. Ron enjoyed spending time outdoors and time with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Finke, who passed away in 1987.
He is survived by his children, Tracy (Terry Solazzo) Hardter of Oswego and Christopher (Katherine) Finke of Brewerton; his mother, Verna Finke of Madison, IN; siblings, Shirley Burress, Barbara (George) Hill, Deb Spry, Joe (Jeanne) Finke; five grandchildren, Noah, Connor, Brayden, Brianna and Ethan; step-children; Karl and Adi; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. with a service to immediately follow at 7 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Burial will be in Madison, IN.
