OSWEGO, NY – Rose L. Cooker, 97, a resident of 130 E. Sixth St., Oswego, passed away on Saturday March 5, 2011, at St.Luke Health Services.
Born in Frankfort, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Maime (Spangna) Lille and was a graduate of the Frankfort High School.
She was employed with Osteads Corporation and was also a homemaker.
Rose was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Altar Rosary at St. Paul’s Church.
Surviving are two sons, Dr.Philip (Barbara) Cooker of Oxford, Ms. and Louis Cooker of Deland Fla.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, George J. Cooker, who passed away on Jan. 3, 2007.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Paul’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Trinity Catholic School.
