Rotarians Hear About Erin’s Angels

FULTON – At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Patrick Waite introduced Sheila Dion.

She is the founder of The Southern Oswego County Council of Churches Erin’s Angels Program.

It mobilizes the community, individuals, and resources to provide weekend food assistance backpacks to those struggling with access to food at home.

Angels is a new non-profit, volunteer program formed in 2017 to serve children of the Phoenix community.

Its mission is to decrease the burden of hunger in the Phoenix Central School District.

A painting of Erin appears as the profile picture on the Erin’s Angels Facebook page where the community can learn more about the program, its donation needs and
opportunities, as well as volunteer opportunities to assist with the ongoing backpack project.
