FULTON – At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Dan Farfaglia introduced Sara Sunday, administrator for the Oswego County Office of the Aging.
She explained the many services that are available for anyone age 60 and over.
These include a heating assistance program, a health insurance counselor assistance program, a program that provides respite services, a small legal assistance program, a personal emergency response system and often can help with the cost of home personal care.
OFA also sub contracts with Oswego County Opportunities for home delivered meals and checks for eligibility, while sometimes being able to provide transportation to the meal sites.
OFA is a vital service for seniors trying to navigate the ever-changing landscape especially in regard to Medicare.
