Rotarians Hear Former Fultonian’s Story

Mrs. and Dr. Paul Barner, left and center, recently attended the Fulton Noon Rotary Club as a guest of Rotarian Alan Roth. Dr. Barner is a native of Fulton. After obtaining his education, Dr. Barner became a missionary in the Philippines, where is met his wife, Elvie. Both Mrs. Barner and her husband are educators. Fifteen years ago they founded a private school in Davo City, Philippines. The present enrollment is 500 students from K-12th grade. The school is supported entirely by donations they receive from churches and others. The Rotarians found it very interesting to see what a young Central New Yorker has accomplished in another country.
