At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Dennis Goss, center, introduced Zach Menter, left, and Jim Shore, right, from Oswego County Amulance (dba Menter Ambulance). Zach gave the history of the ambulance service from when it was first purchased by his grandfather in 1952. It has grown to 11 ambulances with as many as 10,000 to 11,000 calls each year. Although mainly serving the greater Fulton area, they do assist outside when the smaller communities are in need. About 2 years ago, they received the equipment for transmitting EKG information directly to the hospitals which has definitely saved lives. Jim is their Director of Community Development and is working proactively with the senior residence homes and the schools to provide education about health emergencies. The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton's Riverside Inn.
