FULTON – The Fulton Noon Rotary Club had a pleasant surprise recently.
Mary Costigan, a Rotary Club member and the director of the Michaud Extended Care and Rehabilitation Center in Fulton, brought an interesting guest to lunch.
Mary brought Frank Latimer, one of the residents under her care.
Frank is 91 years old.
Frank joined the U.S. Navy in 1940, before World War II and stayed in the service to our country until after World War II.
He served in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters and is a Purple Heart recipient.
After Frank’s service to his country, he became a city bus driver in New York City.
Frank came to Central New York several years ago to be near his family.
Mary said that Frank, along with many other residents of Michaud, enjoy the Memorial Day Parade.
