OSWEGO – RSVP Director Ellen Wahl will be guest speaker at the May 21 Caregivers Educational Session at the Oswego Office Complex, 70 Bunner St. Oswego.
“If you are retired or considering retirement and are wondering, ‘What’s there to do?’ or feel that you want to give back but don’t know where to turn, this session may be for you,” said Margaret Waters-Poor, caregiver group coordinator with the Oswego County Office for the Aging. “In addition to recruiting, placing and supporting volunteers, the RSVP program offers ‘Mature Living,’ a bi-monthly newsletter with news and information that is national and local in scope and of interest to older Americans.”
The session will be from 11 a.m. to noon in the administrative conference room on the second floor of the office complex.
Wahl will provide a brief overview of the RSVP program and discuss volunteer opportunities, followed by a question and answer session.
There is no charge to participate and registration is not required.
Visitors should use the Oswego County Health Department entrance and follow the pink signs to the elevator.
