Ruth “Suzy” Keeler

Ruth “Suzy” Keeler went to be with the Lord February 4th, 2011 after courageously battling esophageal cancer.

She was a volunteer Firefighter/EMT for the Whitney Point Fire Department for many years before moving to Virginia Beach.

She is survived by her loving husband, Brian; sons, Brian Keeler, Jr. of Aurora, Ontario Canada, Henry (Buddy) Chatfield Jr. of Fulton, NY, Lewis Brown stationed at Fort Drum, NY, and Jason Brown stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma; daughters, Laura Chatfield Evans of Binghamton, NY; Brenda Slavin of Huntingtown, Maryland, and Bonnie Wilson of Toledo, Ontario, Canada; 13 grandchildren and a brother, William Book of Albany, NY.

Calling hours are Tuesday, February 8, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 10, at Fulton First United Methodist Church, 1408 State Route 176, Fulton.

In lieu of flowers, Suzy would like Contributions to be sent to Friends of Oswego County Hospice, P.O. Box 102, Oswego, NY 13126. She will be dearly missed by friends and family.
