What’s involved in attending a child passenger safety seat check? Parents and caregivers will spend a few moments with a nationally certified child passenger safety technician and will learn how to choose the right seat for the age, weight and height of their child.

The technician will help them install the seat in the proper location and as tightly as possible.

The parent will be expected to re-install the seat using the instruction given by the child passenger technician.

The Traffic Safety Board is a division of Integrated Community Planning, 317 W. First St., Oswego.

For assistance or to sponsor a child safety seat check, call Billie Crandall Brady at 315 343-2344 ext. 22.

All safety seat checks are free and open to the public – no appointment necessary.
