Safety Takes Center Stage at Oswego County BOCES

Students in Darlene Ochsner’s class, as well as one student from Bonnie Eastman’s class, worked together to write, star in, and produce a creative video for the Student Safety Competition at Oswego County BOCES. Working with the theme of “See Something, Say Something,” the group used several examples to show situations that might happen at school where it is important to speak up so everyone can stay safe. Student Alec Schell also wrote and sang an original song which was included at the end of the video. Safety and Risk Officer Thomas Abbott delivered several pizzas and soda to the class in recognition of their winning entry. Pictured with Abbott are students Alec Schell, Nicole Brown and Jon Creller from Fulton School District; Cody Homequist, Johnny Bertges and Austin Baker from Central Square; and Tobey Mills from Phoenix.
