FULTON, NY – Sam J. Patane, 86, of Hannibal, died Tuesday Oct. 21, 2008, in St. JosephÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness.
He was born in East Syracuse the son of the late Vincenzo and Rosa Patane.
Mr. Patane owned Par-K Enterprises in Fulton, Patane Insurance of Hannibal and Patane Farms in Hannibal.
He was a Hannibal volunteer firefighter.
Mr. Patane was predeceased by his first wife, Rita Patane, in 1991; his brothers, Jim Patane, Myron Patane; and sister, Mary Barone.
Mr. Patane is survived by his wife of 15 years, Mary Patane of Hannibal; his sons, Sam (Valerie) Patane of Hannibal, and Richard Patane of Fulton; his brother, Frank Patane of Hannibal; two sisters, Eleanor Malone of Hannibal, and Agnes Barone of Cicero.
Mr. Patane is also survived by two grandsons, David Patane and Michael (Carrie) Patane; and his great-grandchild Teigen Patane; and his stepchildren, Beth Anne Widrick, Michelle Shutts, Bradley Griffin, Carmen Griffin, Brian Griffin; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
There will be no calling hours.
