Sandy Creek’s Backpack Programs Receives Donation From United Way


The United Way of Greater Oswego County presented representatives from the Sandy Creek Backpack program with a check for $400 to support its  continuing efforts to ensure that children and their families in the district do not go hungry.

The backpack program provides nutritional, easy to prepare meals and snacks on weekends and over breaks from school to students identified as in need.

The food is sent home with the students in backpacks so as not to bring attention or cause embarrassment to them.
