OSWEGO – “Santa’s helpers” are busy at St. Luke Health Services, making sure there will be plenty of specially wrapped gifts for residents to be found under the Christmas tree this year!
A contingent of volunteers spent hours upon hours wrapping over eight hundred presents that will be gifted to residents at one of the many family Christmas parties taking place during the coming week.
“Without the tremendous support of our community volunteers, completing the monumental undertaking of gift wrapping all these presents would simply not be possible,” said Nicole Greenier, St. Luke volunteer coordinator. “This is really what the season is all about – a wonderful group of volunteers who take time out of their schedules at this busy time of year, to lend a helping hand and make the holiday season a special for our residents.”
Many of the gifts for residents are courtesy of the Constellation Energy Nuclear Group Nine Mile Point Station employee “Giving Tree” program; CENG employees selected wishes and set about purchasing gifts for St. Luke residents.
