Scholarship Available For G. Ray Bodley Aspiring Artists

The Larry Mitchelson Fine Arts Award is accepting scholarship applications from aspiring artists graduating from G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton.
The organization has awarded $1,000 scholarships to seven students since 2003. Applications can be obtained in the Guidance Office or downloaded from www.mitchelsonartscholarship.org. The deadline to submit an award application is June 7, 2011.

Larry Mitchelson taught elementary art in the Fulton Consolidated School District for 34 years. Affectionately known as “Mr. Mitch”, he earned the respect of his students and the Fulton community as a teacher and artist. Established in 2003, the Larry Mitchelson Scholarship Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This award is given through the loving generosity of his son and daughter-in-law, Randall & Susan Mitchelson.
