SATURDAY…

* LOCATIONS…OSWEGO COUNTY.

* TIMING…THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

* ACCUMULATIONS…2 TO 4 INCHES TODAY…MAINLY ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN
SECTIONS…WITH 3 TO 5 INCHES TONIGHT.

* WINDS…WEST 10 TO 20 MPH.

* VISIBILITIES…AS LOW AS A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS…HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW
WILL RESULT IN VERY DIFFICULT TRAVEL WITH VERY POOR VISIBILITY
AND DEEP SNOW COVER ON ROADS.

There is a two hour delay for Oswego City School District schools for Friday, February 1.

…HEAVY LAKE SNOW TO IMPACT TRAVEL THIS MORNING…

A PLUME OF MODERATE TO HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL EXTEND FROM THE
WAYNE COUNTY LAKE SHORE…EAST ACROSS NORTHERN CAYUGA COUNTY TO
SOUTHERN MOST OSWEGO COUNTY THROUGH DAYBREAK. THIS BAND OF SNOW
WILL PRODUCE SNOW AT A RATE OF ONE TO TWO INCHES AN HOUR FOR SITES
SUCH AS SODUS…WOLCOTT…STERLING…HANNIBAL…FULTON AND
CONSTANTIA.

THE BAND SHOULD SLOWLY SETTLE SOUTH DURING THE COURSE OF THE EARLY
MORNING HOURS….POSSIBLY DROPPING COMPLETELY OUT OF OSWEGO COUNTY
FOR THE BULK OF THE DAYLIGHT MORNING HOURS.

TRAVEL BETWEEN EXITS 31 AND 32 ON INTERSTATE 81 WILL BE
CHALLENGING…WITH EVEN WORSE CONDITIONS EXPECTED ON SECONDARY
ROADS. MOTORISTS SHOULD ALLOW EXTRA TIME IF TRAVELING THROUGH THIS
AREA THIS MORNING.
