THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO HAS ISSUED A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WATCH, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING.

LOCATIONS: ALONG THE SOUTHERN LAKE ONTARIO SHORELINE.

TIMING: THE WIND CHILL WARNING IS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE THIS
MORNING.

THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM EARLY  SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY EVENING.

THE WIND CHILL WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM OVERNIGHT SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH LATE MONDAY MORNING.

HAZARDS: VERY LOW WIND CHILLS, SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

WIND CHILL VALUES THIS MORNING: 20 TO 25 BELOW ZERO.

WIND CHILL VALUES SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING AS LOW AS 30 BELOW ZERO.

ACCUMULATIONS: LAKE EFFECT SNOW POTENTIALLY ACCUMULATING 6 INCHES OR MORE IN PERSISTENT LAKE SNOWS SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING.

WINDS: NORTHWEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY.

VISIBILITIES: FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW SATURDAY NIGHT AND
SUNDAY MAY REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO JUST A FEW HUNDRED FEET.

IMPACTS: DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS THIS MORNING AND OVER THE WEEKEND CAN BRING FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA IF NOT DRESSED PROPERLY.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND WIDESPREAD BLOWING SNOW SATURDAY
NIGHT AND SUNDAY WILL PRODUCE VERY DIFFICULT TRAVEL WITH SNOW COVERED ROADS. BLOWING SNOW WILL BRING NEAR ZERO VISIBILITIES.

A WIND CHILL WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN A STRONG WIND WILL COMBINE WITH COLD TEMPERATURES TO CREATE DANGEROUSLY COLD CONDITIONS FOR EXPOSED SKIN. THE WIND WILL MAKE IT FEEL LIKE IT IS 25 DEGREES BELOW ZERO OR COLDER FOR SEVERAL HOURS.
