FULTON, NY – Scott Gerald Freeman, 55, of Hannibal, NY, passed away in Lysander, NY, on Friday April 29, 2016, as a result of a tragic logging accident.
Scott was a man who loved life and enjoyed every day not worrying about the next.
He was the type of person who couldn’t sit still for a moment and felt most at home hunting or working on his skidder in the woods.
Scott found the humor of life in the worst of situations and never gave up in any challenge he faced.
No one worked physically harder, and no one told stories as captivating, hysterical and animated as he.
Scott was a loving and proud father, loyal to his friends, and always willing to lend a hand with a “No Job too Big” motto.
Scott is survived by his father and step-mother: Jerry and Audrey Freeman; and his mother: Nancy Freeman; his two children: Brandi Freeman of Hannibal and Erica (Stephen) Farr of Mossuri; a step-son, Stephen (Tiffany) Lamb; his five siblings: Lynne (James) Fisher, Dawn Freeman, Pattie Samson, Gary Samson and Keith Samson; nephews: JR and Aiden; and niece, Jessica.
The family would like to invite family and friends to a Celebration of Life in honor of Scott at The Lodge at Van Buren Park, the corners of Canton and Conners Roads, Baldwinsville, NY, on May 14 from noon to 4 p.m.
The family has requested that no alcohol be present, but sharing stories, memories and condolences of this man we all loved will be welcomed and encouraged.
Burial will be held privately.
Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, has care of the arrangements.
