Navy Sea Cadets Truxtun DDG-103 Division At Farnham Family Fun Days

The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corp Truxtun DDG-103 Division located in Oswego New York at the request of Farnham Family Services of Oswego, a not for profit out patient Substance Abuse Facility took part in The Farnham Family Fun Day on Sunday September 20th.

During this community Event, The Naval Sea Cadets, and Navy League Cadets, provided assistance to the event by manning the games and inflatable attractions provided for children 2 through 14 years of age. Colleen Sharkey the events planning committee co-chairperson thanks the Sea Cadets for assisting her staff in providing a safe and enjoyable day for all attending children.

Sea Cadets that took part in the event were SR Nicholas Grace, SR Jamie Brinkerhoff, SR Tyler Davis, SA Michael Kimber, SR Jacob Aruinger, SN Kayleigh Thurston and SA Tiffany Huynh. Navy League Cadets attending were LC1 Hayden Kimber, LC1 Cody Lenhart, Rec Lenhart, LCl Kollin Watson, LC1 Aidan Mc Greevy, and LC1 Carson Jernigan. In the absence of commanding officer Peg Farnsworth the cadets were led by Executive Officer LTjg George Hoffman Jr. Also attending was Ensign James Brinkerhoff, and instructors Laura Brinkerhoff, Joseph Davis, Paul Santore, and Michael Mc Greevy.

Upon completion of the event, the sea cadets were thanked and applauded as they marched from the site. During the Event 10 prospective candidates expressed interest in joining the sea cadets
