Search Warrant results in numerous felony arrests

OSWEGO, NY – On Friday at about 6:16 p.m. the Oswego City Police Department’s Anti -Crime Team (ACT) executed a search warrant at 106 East 10th St, Apartment #1 Oswego.

As a result of that search police located and seized two .22 caliber rifles that had been previously reported stolen, and 1.3 grams of crack cocaine.

Numerous people were in the residence at that time and as a result of the investigation a total of five people were arrested.

Marcos S. Guzman, 18 years of age, of 106 East 10th St. Apartment #1 was charged with: 2 counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, firearm – Class E felony

Curt C. Dunsmore, 22 years of age, of 4466 Co Rt. 4 Oswego NY was charged with: 2 counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, firearm – Class E felony

Timothy F. Benway, 47 years if age, Homeless, was charged with: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree – Class D Felony

Keith R. Smith, 43 years of age, of 116 East 11th St Oswego NY was charged with: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree – Class A Misdemeanor

Katie L. Leary, 21 years of age, of 106 East 10th St. Apartment #1 was arrested on a Bench Warrant issued out of Onondaga County.

Leary was turned over to the custody of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office for processing on the bench warrant.

Keith Smith and Curt Dunsmore were released on appearance tickets returnable to Oswego City Court on February 21 at 09:30 a.m.

 

Benway was arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility on no bail. He is due back in City Court on January 22 at 9:30 a.m.

Guzman was arraigned in Oswego City Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. He is due back in City Court on January 23 at 1:30 p.m.

The investigation is continuing and further arrests and – or charges are possible.
