Sears, Welch, Kline, Denton & Albanese All Winners At Fulton Speedway On Windstream Communications Night

FULTON, NY – Five feature winners graced victory lane at Fulton Speedway during Windstream Communications Family Fun Night last Saturday. Tim Sears Jr., Mike Welch, Joe Kline, Stephen Denton and Lanson Albanese were the feature event winners in their respective classes. And everyone in attendance enjoyed a gigantic fireworks show that concluded the evening.

Fulton Speedway 2009 DIRTcar Sportsman Track Champion Tim Sears Jr. continued his stellar season by winning the 20 lap DIRTcar Sportsman feature race last Saturday night. Shawn Donath, Justin Henderson, Alan Fink and Rob Pratt completed the top five feature finishers. Billy Clark, Ben Wheeler, Jordan Bennett, Shane Donath and Jason Parkhurst completed the top ten feature finishers.

Canandaigua Speedway regular Mike Welch invaded Fulton Speedway last Saturday night and headed back home with the 20-lap DIRTcar Street Stock feature race victory. Pat Hobbs, Chris Fischer, Nick Rizzo and Wayne Ellison finished in positions second through fifth. Nate Peckham, Phil Norman, Dan Hoffman Jr., Dan Hoffman Sr. and Matt Henderson completed the top ten feature finishers.

Joe Kline won his second E&V Energy Novice Sportsman feature race last Saturday night. Kline was followed in the finish by Jon Shumway, Mark Johnston, Matt Parkhurst and Scott Kline.

Last Saturday marked the first visit of the season by the Four Cylinder Super Stock class. Stephen Denton earned the feature race victory ahead of Jim Money, Randy Knight, Aron Backus and Matt Fay. Brad Rathbun, Wendell Washington, Sam Carista, Ethan Halsey and Bill Carista finished in positions sixth through tenth.

Lanson Albanese claimed the victory in the 20-lap Gladiator main event last Saturday night. Tim Dunn, Skip DeGroff, Chris Bonoffski and Keith Zirbel followed Albanese across the finish line completing the top five positions.

This Saturday at Fulton Speedway promises to be an action packed one with the ESDCA Mod Lite Doug Cooper Memorial Championship paying $200 to win, the Four Cylinder Super Stock Championship paying $200 to win, the Gladiator Championship paying $200 to win and the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman Championship paying $125 to win. There are no car entry fees in any of the classes.

The DIRTcar Sportsman and DIRTcar Street Stocks will also be in competition this Saturday night in a weekly race program. The feature race winner will receive a guaranteed starting position in their respective class in the 24th Annual Fulton 200 Weekend title races that will take place on Friday, October 2. Track time for hot laps will also be offered for the Modifieds and IMCA Modifieds this Saturday night.

This Saturday night at Fulton Speedway will be Novelis Can Collection and Pop Warner Football / Cheerleading Night. Fans that turn in 100 aluminum recyclable cans will receive $5 off of grandstand admission. Any Pop Warner Football player or cheerleader in uniform will receive free grandstand admission. Coaches in uniform will also be admitted for free.
