Seneca River Is Closed

Onondaga County, NY – Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin E. Walsh reports that effective immediately, the Seneca River is closed to all boat traffic from Three Rivers to the Cayuga County line until further notice due to high waters.

According to the Canal Corporation, the high waters have caused damage to several boats.

The Canal Corporation and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office will continuously monitor the waters and will make notifications when the Seneca River will re-open.
