Sheriff’s Office: 10/05/09


On 10/02/09 at 1:28 p.m., Michael T. Ariola, 18, of 778 SR 104B, Mexico, NY, was charged with Lighting Not In Use in Poor Weather Conditions and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, following a traffic stop after he was observed driving westbound on SR 13 in the rain, wipers in motion, without the use of headlights. Mr. Ariola was released on tickets returnable to Village of Pulaski Court on 10/21/09.

On 10/03/09 at 12:27 a.m., Lawrence M. Pavese, 39, of 2739 SR 48, Oswego, NY, was charged with Speed in Zone and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation, following a traffic stop that was initiated on SR 48 in the Town of Minetto. The investigation found a pipe containing marijuana residue, jar reportedly containing marijuana, and pipe bowls that also reportedly contained marijuana residue. Mr. Pavese was issued tickets and released. He is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Minetto Court on 10/22/09.

On 10/03/09 at 2:43 a.m., a 16 year old female residing in the Town of Wolcott, was arrested based on a warrant issued by Fulton City Court. The warrant was revealed during the investigation into an unrelated incident at a Town of Hannibal residence. The girl was turned over to a member of the Fulton Police Department for further processing.

On 10/03/09 at 4:00 a.m., John Smith, 38, of 75 E. Tenth St., Oswego, NY, was arrested at his residence based on a warrant held by the New York State Police. The warrant was revealed during the investigation into a domestic incident when a Deputy from the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office was assisting a member of the Oswego City Police Department. Mr. Smith was turned over to the New York State Police for further processing on the warrant.

On 10/03/09 at 7:37 p.m., Tonya L,. Hansson, 20, of 146 Martville Road, Hannibal, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended on 9/29/09 for no insurance); Operation While Registration Suspended (registration suspended 8/29/09 for failing to pay insurance); and No/Inadequate Plate Lamp stemming from a traffic stop on SR 34 in the Town of Hannibal after she had been observed driving with no plate lamp while exiting the parking lot at the Hannibal Municipal Building. Ms. Hannson was issued tickets and released. She is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Hannibal Court on 10/27/09.

On 10/03/09 at 9:36 p.m., Renee E. Pinkston, 50, of 291 Easy St., Parish, NY, was arrested for Assault, Second Degree, a class D felony, after being accused of stabbing a male victim in the wrist with a pair of scissors during an argument that took place at her residence. Ms. Pinkston was arraigned before the Hon. Michael Avery, Village of Central Square Court where a Stay Away Order of Protection was issued before Ms. Pinkston was released. She is scheduled to appear before Town of Parish Court on 10/13/09 to answer the charge.

On 10/04/09 at 2:55 a.m., Kennon F. Miller, 43, of 33 CR 23, Constantia, NY, was arrested for Reckless Driving; Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (license suspended for 15 scoffs on 8 dates); Speed in Zone; and on an active bench warrant held by Manlius Police, following a traffic stop after he had been observed traveling at a high rate of speed while driving westbound on SR 49 in the Town of West Monroe. Mr. Miller was issued tickets and released with his vehicle being removed by a third party. He is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of West Monroe Court on 10/07/09. Mr. Miller was subsequently turned over to a member of the Manlius Police Department for processing on the warrant.

On 10/04/09 at 6:05 p.m., Laura A. Shoults, 41, of 120 West Second St., Fulton, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended 9/30/09 for no insurance); Operation While Registration Suspended; No Inspection Certificate; and Operation Without Insurance following a traffic stop in the Town of Granby. Ms. Shoults was released on tickets returnable to Town of Granby Court on 10/19/09.
