Sheriff’s Office, 9/21/09

On 9/12/09 at 11:45 p.m., Donald L. Burnett, Jr., 43, of 443 Canning Factory Road, Pulaski, NY, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (revoked drivers license from a D.W.A.I. on 09/10/09, for refusal to submit to a chemical breath test on 05/31/09 and 07/16/09), and No/Inadequate Plate Lamp, following a traffic stop after he was observed driving on SR 11 in the Town of Parish with no rear plate lamp. Mr. Burnett was issued tickets and released and is scheduled to answer the charges before town of parish Court on 10/13/09.

On 9/17/09 at 12:00 p.m., Nicholas A. Peschler, 20, of 24 River View Road, Pulaski, NY, was arrested for one count of Grand Larceny, Third Degree, a class D felony, stemming from his alleged participation in stealing approximately 30 sprinkler heads from the Elms Golf Course in the Town of Sandy Creek on or about 8/18/09 – 8/19/09. Mr. Peschler was arraigned before the Hon. James Maring, Town of Sandy Creek Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 11/05/09. The matter remains under investigation at this time.

Mr. Peschler was further charged with one count of Grand Larceny, Fourth Degree, a class E felony, stemming from his alleged participation in stealing a golf cart from a site at Brennan’s Beach RV Park in the Town of Richland, an act that took place on or about 8/03/09. Mr. Peschler was arraigned before the Hon. James Maring, Town of Sandy Creek Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Richland Court on 10/26/09. This matter remains under investigation at this time.

An additional charge of one count of Grand Larceny, Fourth Degree, a class E felony, was also lodged against Mr. Peschler stemming from his alleged participation in stealing a second golf cart from another site at Brennan’s Beach RV Park in the Town of Richland. His arraignment before the Hon. James Maring, Town of Sandy Creek Court, was in conjunction with the other charges, with Mr. Peschler again being remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond on this charge as well. He is scheduled to appear before Town of Richland Court to answer this charge on 9/23/09. The investigation into this matter continues at this time.

On 9/18/09 at 11:30 a.m., Tyler, S. Smith, 19, of 14 South Rainbow Shores, Pulaski, NY, was arrested for Grand Larceny, Third Degree, a class D felony, stemming from his alleged participation in stealing approximately 30 sprinkler heads from the Elms Golf Course in the Town of Sandy Creek on or about 8/18/09 – 8/19/09. Mr. Smith was arraigned before the Hon. James Maring, Town of Sandy Creek Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 11/05/09. Investigation into this incident continues at this time.

On 9/18/09 at 4:30 a.m., Gregory A. Horn, 25, of 24 E. Seventh St., Oswego, NY, was arrested based on a warrant issued by Fulton City Court. Mr. Horn, taken into custody in the Town of Scriba after the warrant was revealed during an unrelated incident, was turned over to a member of the Fulton Police Department for further processing.

On 9/18/09 at 10:50 a.m., Charles A. Morrelli, II, 40, of 618 Ontario St., Fulton, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspension for failing to pay a fine in the Town of Clay on 4/17/09), and No Rear Bumper, following a traffic stop on Oneida Street in the City of Fulton during a STEP detail. Mr. Morrelli was issued tickets and released. He is scheduled to answer the charges before Fulton City Court on 10/01/09.

On 9/18/09, Ashley K. Mellon, 18, of 253 Syracuse Avenue, Apt. 2, Oswego, NY, was operating a 1992 Honda eastbound on CR 4 in the Town of Volney at 12:26 p.m. when she reportedly lost control causing the vehicle to exit the south side of the road, then come back onto the roadway, crossing the center line, before overturning onto its roof in a ditch. Ms. Mellon and one of her passengers, Aiden J. Amaya, age one, were both transported by ambulance to the Oswego Hospital. Failure to keep right appears to have been a contributing factor in the incident.

On 9/18/09, Lisa J. June, 45, of 15431 Farden Road, Sterling, NY, was operating a 2006 Hyundai northbound on SR 104 in the Town of Oswego at 4:42 p.m. when she reportedly rear-ended a northbound 2008 Dodge driven by Maria E. Aldaco, 22, of 111 E. Park St., Apt. A, Newark, NY. The incident occurred at the intersection of West Lake Road when Ms. Aldaco reportedly stopped in traffic awaiting a vehicle in front of her to make a left hand turn onto West Lake Road. Ms. June was ticketed for Following Too Closely.

On 9/19/09 at 1:00 a.m., Donald M. Vannorstrand, 29, of 6733 Wolcott St., Red Creek, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended 6/24/09 for failing to pay a fine in Wayne County), and Inadequate Lighting, following a traffic stop on SR 3 and CR 7, in the Town of Hannibal after he was observed driving westbound on SR 3 with headlamps of unequal power. Mr. Vannorstrand was issued tickets returnable to Town of Hannibal Court on 9/29/09.

On 9/19/09 at 3:17 a.m., Ashlie M. Searfoss, 19, of 57 Myers Road, Oswego, NY, was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor, and Harassment, Second Degree, a violation, stemming from an incident that occurred in the Town of Granby on 9/18/09, during which she allegedly struck a female victim under the age of 17 in the face, then pushed her into the corner of a building and punched her several times in the head, reportedly in an attempt to beat the victim up at the request of another individual. Ms. Searfoss was released on tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Granby Court on 10/05/09.

On 9/20/09 at 1:39 a.m., Jamie J. Morey, 24, of 1066 CR 11, West Monroe, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended on 9/02/09 for failure to pay), and No/Inadequate Plate Lamp, following a traffic stop after he was observed driving on SR 49 in the Town of Hastings with no plate lamps. Mr. Morey was released on tickets returnable to Town of Hastings Court on 10/05/09 and his vehicle removed by a third party.

On 9/20/09 at 5:05 a.m., Richard A. Weir, 27, of 851 US Route 11, Lot 132, Central Square, NY, was arrested for Assault, Second Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Third Degree, both class D felonies, stemming from a domestic incident that occurred in the Town of West Monroe during which he allegedly stabbed a male victim with a knife. The victim, who was reportedly attempting to intervene in the domestic incident when the stabbing occurred, was subsequently transported to University Hospital in Syracuse. Mr. Weir was arraigned before Town of West Monroe Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 9/21/09.
