Sheriff Todd To Step Down, Endorses Undersheriff

OSWEGO – There will be a new sheriff in town after the next election.

Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd’s daughter read a letter at the county GOP Committee meeting recently saying that he isn’t running for re-election.

However, she noted that he intends to finish out his term in office.

In his letter to the committee, the sheriff said he supports Undersheriff Gene Sullivan as his successor.

Sullivan confirmed to Oswego County Today that he is considering a run for the position.

He has asked the committee for its support.
